Movement Detection in Non-los Environment Using Microwave
نویسندگان
چکیده
Microwave can be used as a source to detect any movement behind the barrier and it paves way for many unknown intrusion similar to the movement detection in Line of Sight (LOS) environment by passive infrared sensors. Microwave frequencies can penetrate the barrier to gather information in non LOS environment. However the insight about the situation of a person behind the opaque medium will always be helpful in critical situations like, a building on fire, search and rescue operations, etc. The quality and reliability of the system is defined by the nature of the barrier characteristics such as the thickness and material behind which movement detection is carried out. This paper deals with the movement detection in non LOS environment which is carried out in the X-band for the barriers such as plywood, vitrified tile & acrylic sheet with different thickness. The detection is confirmed through the time domain signal obtained from the reflected signal for an ideal, standing and walking condition of human subject. . The variations are observed and acquired through a Digital Storage Oscilloscope. Human characteristics like breathing are analyzed through the time domain observations. Keywords— X band microwave detection system, plywood, vitrified tile, acrylic sheet, movement detection, breathing signal.

The Comparison Between Microwave and Autoclave as Antigen Retrieval Methods for Immunohistochemical Detection of CD15 and CD30 in Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
Background and Objective: Hodgkin's lymphoma is a potentially curable hematologic malignancy with difficulty in its diagnosis especially in atypical cases even in expert hands. Today, immunohistochemistry plays a significant role in the diagnosis of it especially applying the anti-CD15 and anti-CD30 antibodies. The negativity of CD15 can be reduced by antigen retrieval for meth...

Human body effects such as antenna-body interaction and scattering caused by pedestrian movement are important indoor radio propagation phenomena at microwave frequencies. This paper reports measurements and statistical analysis of the indoor narrowband propagation channel at 5.2 GHz for two scenarios: a fixed line-of-sight (LOS) link perturbed by pedestrian movement, and a mobile link incorpor...
متن کاملA Miniaturized CPW-Fed Tapered Slot Antenna in Lossy Environment for UWB Application in Breast Cancer Detection
In this paper, a miniaturized coplanar waveguide fed (CPW-fed) tapered slot antenna (TSA) is introduced for breast cancer detection. Here, a modified CPW to slot-line transition structure with an air-bridge is employed to broaden the transition bandwidth and increase the radiation efficiency. Through these applied modifications, negative features of the original TSA (limitation of transition) a...

In many autonomous mobile applications, robots must be capable of analyzing motion of moving objects in their environment. Duringmovement of robot the quality of images is affected by quakes of camera which cause high errors in image processing outputs. In thispaper, we propose a novel method to effectively overcome this problem using Neural Networks and Kalman Filtering theory. Thistechnique u...
